that picture of kenny - inked with brush pen

horrible unfinished outline of steven's family room with obvious sketches
on the page behind it (it's of my brother watching tv if you're wondering)
no pencil.. just inked - half with crappy brush pen, half fantastic brush pen

bowl of olives - pencil, ink and crayola watercolor

kenny

A quick sketch of my brother with his brand new hoodie, size Large, and on my computer watching youtube.  It's a little strange how the hoodie doesn't come with a number and just our last name smack dab in the middle.

old

Heyas.. it's been quite awhile.  I just wanted to put up something from my sketchbook in Fall '03 obviously, from one of Ivy's mangas.  I remember thinking that I'll finish it someday, but I guess it'll remain unfinished.  Hope you are all doing well!

Drawn with mechanical pencils and color pencils as usual.

Water Faeries

I don't know why but I can stare at this picture for hours. This was made in November when the deadline for my final project was approaching and I simply couldn't think of what to make.. so I turned to Disney's Little Mermaid, Adam Phillips of Brackenwood, and Turkey Hill cookies and cream.

All drawing is done with a mouse in Flash 8 Professional.

Adobe Photoshop 6.0 days (I was 19 or 20)

EDIT: Another Adobe PS 6.0 thingy.  That's my brother at our old house.

First experience with Flash

A) My first homework assignment with Flash using the rotoscoping technique.

B) First project. We were given a library filled with graphic symbols and had to pick one. We were allowed to alter the image and create our own drawings. The animation is done frame-by-frame.

C)Common Library project. Once again given a library filled with graphic symbols, and we had to pick a few to create a narrative storyline. We were allowed to alter the images as much as we wanted, but not allowed to draw. Play and Replay button were added for user-friendly purposes.

EDIT - I will be adding play and replay buttons for A & B.

Some unfinished Flash work

The first one was supposed to be my interactive final for my Flash class. I decided to upload it just to see how it would look on the internet. The more I worked on it, the more I realized how over-ambitious I was.. eventually, the project crashed & cannot be recovered. Luckily I had saved a portion of it. The water rippling technique is from Adam Phillips of Brackenwood.

The second one was the back-up since Plan A crashed. The penguin follows the mouse on the x-axis. I also did not get to finish it because I am not too familiar with ActionScript.

"Turtles in between your toes.."

I was gonna do some serious work, but this came out instead. It's called TurtleToes.. yet another one of Steven's crazies.. no duh. All drawn with a mouse in Flash because I am ghetto like that.. surprisingly my wrists are not suffering as they should be Happy President's Day!

Camera Phone Pics

Um ok. The first one is Kenny at a sushi restaurant. He was amazed at how fast he could swirl his chopsticks around. The second one is Steven at Quiznos. I decided to stay with the rough copy on this one because the final just wasn't cuttin' the mustard. I just wanted to show the curls that come out of Steven's ears (he needs a haircut). He's probably gonna kill me for putting that up.

Our last night in California

Our last night in California
It's Steven and I on Denise's bed on our last night in California.. You won't notice it, but I'm really showing off my new house slippers here from Roxy (which I got on clearance by the way). Everyone else was out gambling and we decided to just hang out at the house. Her bed looks comfortable right? Well, that's because it was. I spent probably 60% of my time on that bed, either sleeping, playing Super Nintendo, or just keeping myself warm. When we went to California, we experienced the record low.. I wore layers and Steven's fleece most of the time.
Anyway, this is sketched with a mechanical pencil and colored in with Crayola color pencils.
